Will Corwin talks to Victoria Meyers, an architect, designer and author, and a leading voice in the green architecture movement. The two discuss the thin line that New York architects must walk in order to balance budgets with sustainable building practices, and the difficulty of creating spaces of beauty in an often inhospitable urban environment. Victoria also explains a "hypercube", and how it interweaves aesthetics, craft, social commentary, not to mention blogging.
Victoria Meyers is a partner at Hanrahan Meyers Architects, and is the author of Designing with Light, published by Abbeville Press. Her work can be seen in New York at the Pratt Design Center. Her 2009 projects include the Infinity Chapel of the Tenth Church of Christ Scientist in Greenwich Village and the Battery Park City Community Center (35 minutes).
