Hosted by
Stephen Schaefer
Originally aired on
Monday, September 26th, 2011
At the Venice Film Festival’s Excelsior Hotel Willem Dafoe discussed his role as an East Villager in Abel Ferrara’s comeback drama, 4:44 Last Day on Earth, where it was given its world premiere (and which also screens in the current New York Film Festival). Dafoe brings his customary gravity and reality to a startling premise that wonders: What would you do if you knew your end was near? The actor also examines what he learned for his made-in-Tasmania Toronto 2011 International Film Festival hit, The Hunter.
