Ryan Gander & Bedwyr Williams, Liam Gillick & Tirdad Zolgadhr, Adam Pendleton and Frances Stark respond to the title of this program by giving performances that subvert and pervert the traditional lecture format - exploding ideas of didacticism, information exchange, and the power of the speaker over his/her audience. Musical interludes between each by Vert encourage the audience to move beyond their usual role as complacent listeners.

The Eroticism of Pedagogy was produced as part of Hey Hey Glossolalia, a series of free events and lectures that took place in New York in May 2008. The project, through which artists explored the infinite shades and possibilities of the voice, was hosted by Creative Time.
