Host Jane Kaplowitz's new show debuts with artist Laurie Simmons. The
impetus for this discussion began when a male friend remarked that Simmons doesn't "dress like an artist." They
consider what he could have meant by this, delineate a brief history of the relationship between the fashion world
and the art world, and talk about how fashion affects female artists as opposed to male ones, how the relationship
may change with the current economic crisis, and what the role of fashion is in their lives and in creating an
artist's "image" (25 minutes).
