On October 19, 2011 Clocktower artist-in-residence Marja Samsom staged a performance and storytelling event that also featured her famous dumplings. Visitors were also invited to wander through her installation of objects, publications, photos, video, and site-specific treatments. This program documents her stories from that night. Here is the artist's statement about the event:

"It started as conceptual art piece, with full page announcement in September's Artforum. Then, as my artist residency developed over time, it ultimately culminated in a storytelling performance and tribute to my fairy godmother, Tante Grethel, and my dear sister, Ingeborg."

The stylish, witty, and always colorful artist and storyteller Marja Samsom created Shrine, combining art, life. and music. Samsom engages performance art, objects d'art, cooking, stories, trust and thoughtfulness both in her Clocktower studio and through her radio program on ARTonAIR.org, Cooking Up A Storm. Samsom’s studio was a site-specific installation reflecting the two divergent personalities Samsom brings to both her culinary creations and performance art: Miss Behave and the Dumpling Diva.
