Sherman Drexler
Originally aired 7/9/09
Artist, publisher, teacher and general Renaissance man Phong Bui talks to the legendary and amiable Sherman Drexler. An elusive and fiercely independent figure in an art world often given to trends, Drexler - whose most noted paintings have been generalized nudes of his wife, the writer and Pop artist Rosalyn Drexler, and depictions of wildlife and large, primordial natural expanses - has frequently been identified as something of a modern-day cave painter (58 minutes).
