Revolutions in Public Practice: Amy Goodman & The Yes Men

On October 23-24, 2009, Creative Time hosted a summit at the New York
Public Library. The event featured 37 artist presentations on their
relationship to politics, communities, and activism and how art can
change lives and policy. In this segment recorded on the opening
night, Creative Time director Anne Pasternak opens the event, curator
Nato Thompson sets the context and introduces keynote speaker Amy
Goodman. Finally, the Leonore Annenberg Prize for Art and Social
change is presented to The Yes Men, who discuss their film The Yes Men
Fix the World, their recent intervention at the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce, and generally lay out their philosophy (47 minutes).
