Régis Bonvicino reads recent poems. Charles Bernstein reads a few of his own translations and a number by Odile Cisneros. Hear poems about dogs lounging in a square in Valparaiso, Chile, and a piece about wars in the favelas.
Bonvicino is a Brazilian poet, author of eleven books of poetry, along with several translations and an anthology of contemporary Brazilian poetry. Among his many publications are Página Órfã, Ossos de Borboleta, Remorso do Cosmos, and a children's book, Num Zoológica de Letras. English translations of his work (by many hands, from Michael Palmer to Robert Creeley) are collected in Sky Eclipse (2000, Green Integer) (35 minutes).
