Rebecca Wolff, The Beginners
Originally aired 11/7/11

On September 28th, 192 Books hosted a reading with author Rebecca Wolff of her first novel, The Beginners.

The Beginners tells the coming-of-age story of Ginger Pritt and her best friend Cherry Endicott, who believe that the new neighbors next door are practicing magic. Told from both the fifteen-year-old and adult perspective of Ginger Pritt, the novel questions the extent to which magic can inform our reality.

New York City poet and novelist Rebecca Wolff is the editor and creator of Fence Magazine and Fence Books. She received her MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers Workshop in 1993, and was awarded from the National Poetry Series Award for Manderley in 2001 and the Barnard Women Poets Prize for Figment in 2003.
