On April 3, 2012 Pat Noecker took form as The Stranger--a character he plays in Mike Anderson and Javelin's music video Canyon Candy--and merged it with his solo persona RAFT. thus embodied and equipped he performed a piece of music that was both haunting and beautiful, a meditative sound sculpture that echoed the transformative power of the Canyon (an immersive installation on view in the Clocktower). The Stranger utilized the entire exhibition for the performance as he appeared to discover a very strange instrument in the barren desert and began to explore the instrument's voice. The resulting music, written specifically for this show, took the audience on a journey inside and beyond the walls of the Canyon Candy exhibition.
