On May 17th, 2011 audio manipulationist G Lucas Crane invited free jazzer Daniel Carter to a musical duel judged by the remarkable Moral Magistrate (yes we really have a machine that measures muscical ethics) and once again the device determined which artist's music was morally superior. As Carter gently played his saxophones, Crane gracefully maneuvered his analog/digital sound collection and in the end, Carter's soulful tones proved victorious. Daniel Carter has been a known master of multiple instruments since the early 70s and continues to expand and challenge himself in adventurous situations and always with great heart and beautiful technique.
Moral Kombat is organized by G Lucas Crane with Clocktower Gallery Performance and Installation Curator Joe Ahearn.
