Michael Lindsay-Hogg, the son of Irish actress Geraldine Fitzgerald, grows up wondering who his real father is. Michael is named after Fitzgerald's husband at the time, Edward Lindsay-Hogg, but suspects that his father might actually be director Orson Wells.
