Cabaret, au Cabaret! This is the second guest on The Greatest Interview Show of All Time to grace the cover of Time Out New York (the first was DJ Justine D). Maude Maggart graces the studio with her presence and her lovely voice. She explains the intriguing world of being an itinerant chanteuse, which is much less about filling auditoriums with thousands of people and more about developing a loyal following that will fill the Oak Room at the Algonquin a couple nights a year. Maude's romantic family history is exposed--her parents were in the theater and her grandmother was a showgirl while her grandfather played in the pit orchestra--and she sings about it. Her own cabaret pedigree features Andrea Marcovici and Michael Feinstein in the role of Godmother and Godfather--pretty damn good! (36 minutes).
