Massimo Simonini: Venice Love Boat Venice
Originally aired on
Tuesday, June 7th, 2005
Venice Love Boat Venice is a faux radio show assembled by composer Massimo Simonini. It features a wide variety of music effectively interspersed with what Simonini calls "displaced announcers" - voices cut and pasted out of context. Simonini is also Artistic Director of the Angelica Festival in Bologna with a passionate viewpoint on new music. This program is a special presentation from our legendary 2005 Venice Biennale broadcasts (from a boat on the lagoon near the Giardini!) during which Simonini worked onsite as our Italian station manager. (78 minutes)
