The Island Studio Sessions is a long term research project curated by The Island in collaboration with the Clocktower Gallery and ARTonAIR.org in New York City. Manifesting as a series of residencies, exhibitions and radio broadcasts, The Island Studio Sessions uses the context of the Clocktower Gallery and its online radio station ARTonAIR.org as a framework for investigating various strands of research.

The Island’s Clocktower Residency forms part of an ongoing collaboration between the two organisations, inaugurated in 2010 with a regular radio broadcast by The Island for ARTonAIR.org that presents on-site recordings of UK-based performance, music, talks, artist interviews and specially commissioned artist projects.
