Hank Lazer Interview
Hank Lazer talks with Charles Bernstein about the confluences of his identities, Southen poetry, the poetics of jazz and transition, the forms of his work, the purported conflict between creativity and critical thinking and his poem Figure. Lazer is a poet and critic. His essays books include the multi-volume collection Opposing Poetries (Northwestern University Press) and Lyric & Spirit (Omnidawn). Lazer is a Professor of English at the University of Alabama, where he is also Associate Provost for Academic Affairs (27 minutes).
