François Cluzet, The Intouchables
Hosted by Stephen Schaefer
Originally aired 5/28/12

A 35 year veteran of independent, auteurist French cinema, François Cluzet candidly discusses his crossover into commercial filmmaking with Tell No One, Harlan Coben's very American pulp thriller that debuted in 2006 and was masterfully relocated to Paris, becoming a comeback vehicle for Cluzet. Now he talks about what it's like to star in France's surprising blockbuster hit The Intouchables as a rich quadriplegic, a role that became his just two weeks before filming began. This comedy-drama was featured in 2012's Rendez-Vous with French Cinema at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
