This final episode of Adjusted by Addition, performed before a live audience, takes place a year after the end of Episode 5. Forest’s documentary has been released into theaters. William, Earl and Violet have stopped speaking to him; only Sam remains in contact with him. Abandoned by his friends and admonished by the critics, Forest is left to wonder whether his attempt to poeticize humiliation was worth it.
