John Tranter talks about editing the Internet literary magazine Jacket, about the influence of Rimbaud and Hopkins, and about his connection to the New York School. Tranter is the editor of the Penguin Book of Modern Australian Poetry (1991), published in Britain and the US as the Bloodaxe Book of Modern Australian Poetry. Tranter was born in Cooma, New South Wales, Australia and now lives in Sydney.
