Recorded live in the summer of 2008 at the Warm Up summer music series of P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (now MoMA/PS1) is an East-European flavored dance set. The backstory: Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the Mehanata Bulgarian bar on New York's lower east side replicates the drunken fervor that one experiences at a concert starring Gypsy-punk mustache gods Gogol Bordello. The bar hosts events such as the self-explanatory "Trans-global Gypsy Punk Dance Party" and "Gypsy Punk Rock Meltdown." DJ Poodlecannon is one of the regular weekend treats.
