DJ Padati
This session, performed live at the Clocktower on October 15, 2004, begins with mid-tempo tracks by Nickodemus and Osiris, Quantic, Farid, Levon Vincent & Jessica Elle, among others, then ventures into some very funky house territory.
As an emerging deejay on the New York scene, DJ Padati has fully absorbed the dance-music styles that permeate parties throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and has given them a twist. His sets are often built around a recipe whose ingredients start with hip-hop and house, then add soul, broken-beat, down-tempo and dancehall classics to the mix. Recent performances include the 2003 Sprite Liquid Mix Tour at Jones Beach Theatre, and the 2003 Hip-Hop Awareness Festival in Leipzig, Germany.
