The San Francisco-based composer was recorded March 6, 2012 at Experimental Intermedia in New York. About his work at the time he writes: In my recent work as a composer I've been interested in the transformations and slippages that occur when a large number of similar sounds are presented together, in dense layers; a thousand different 60Hz hums; ten thousand different distant airplanes droning; a hundred thousand different versions of two hands clapping - each unique, each the same, resonant.
