In Chris Evans's Cop Talk series, the artist arranges recruitment sessions by police departments for art students - suggesting the need for artist representation in the police force while simultaneously exposing students to an alternate career. Though Evans has presented these talks internationally, this is his first Cop Talk to be held in the United States.

Cop Talk was produced as part of Hey Hey Glossolalia, a series of free events and lectures that took place in New York in May 2008. The project, through which artists explored the infinite shades and possibilities of the voice, was hosted by Creative Time.
