Chris Burden (2005)

Artist Chris
Burden needs no introduction. He has shot himself in the arm, nailed himself to the hood of a car, and rolled around in glass. The works have earned him a reputation as one of the most controversial performance artists of the 70s. Burden's more recent work, however, has abandoned self-mutilation for more traditional materials: drawings, photographs, and sculptures that evoke the connections between the military, money, power, and technology. Recorded Oct. 28, 2005 at MoMA as part of the museum's Conversations with Artists series.
