Carey Young: Speechcraft
Originally aired on Monday, June 9th, 2008
Artist Carey Young's performance piece Speechcraft features a meeting of members from New York public speaking club Toastmasters. At the meeting, Young reveals specific topics and subject matter that each speaker must respond to by giving an impromptu speech.

Speechcraft was produced as part of Hey Hey Glossolalia, a series of free events and lectures that took place in New York in May 2008. The project, through which artists explored the infinite shades and possibilities of the voice, was hosted by Creative Time.
