Andrea Corr, The Boys and Girl of County Clare
Hosted by
Stephen Schaefer
Originally aired on
Monday, April 11th, 2005
Loved for her band The Corrs and admired for her feature debut in The Commitments, this unstoppable actor/musician talks about her newest projects.
Andrea Corr is from Ireland, where she reigns as the lead singer of the Irish pop/rock/Celtic musical group The Corrs. Corr, who made her debut in The Commitments, is successfully forging an acting career in addition to her musical one. She proudly declares how she convinced veteran director John Irvin to make The Boys and Girl of County Clare, a dramatic comedy about a Ceili music competition starring the veteran actors Colm Meaney (who played Corr's father in The Commitments) and Lord of the Rings star Bernard Hill.
