Fifteen years after its first Brazilian project in 1996, Red Hot has released Red Hot + Rio 2, revisiting the songs and vibes of the late 60’s Tropicália movement that changed Brazilian culture forever. Like the Tropicália itself, Rio 2 has an open spirit, mixing genres, generations and artists from Brazil and the world. In Tropicálialand "Everything is Possible" and "It’s Forbidden to Forbid."

The Red Hot Organization has been producing compilations and related TV specials since 1990 beginning with the release of the groundbreaking Red Hot + Blue, a modern tribute to the songs of Cole Porter. Since then, Red Hot has released 16 thematic projects ranging in focus from Country music, Grunge, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, Dance music, Latin Rock and composers such as Ellington, Gershwin, Fela Kuti and Tom Jobim (with the 1996 Red Hot + Rio project).
