Moderated by Savona Bailey-McClain, Executive Director of the West Harlem Art Fund, Inc., A Conversation with Public Artists focuses on the role of art in the public arena and how the various purposes of public art may be defined. Panelists include artists Chakaia Booker, Colin Chase and Sandy Winters and CUNY Professor of Art History Harriet Senie as well as Wendy Feuer, Assistant Commissioner of Urban Design & Art for the New York City Department of Transportation. The event was presented by Myrah Brown Green of the Humanities & Arts Division of City College, CUNY, International Sculpture Center and Sculpture magazine; it took place at the City College of New York on December 1, 2009 (56 minutes).
