"Investigating honest communication, in all its varied plumage," is the self-described aim of his practice, a liberal euphemism to describe work that is totally irreverent and playful in spirit. Throwell is an artist for Gallery 138, and was included in the 2007 Venice Biennale. Throwell is a member of the artist collectives Red76, Camera Cartell, and Thin Ice Collective.
