On a wall at the top of a stairway leading to the historic Clocktower roof, Lawrence Weiner’s OFTEN REPLAYED (PLAYED AGAIN) is a hidden treasure. As a friend, and as a leader of the artist community, Lawrence was a frequent visitor and a frequent participant in the variety of events, both shows and performances, happening at the Clocktower. It is romantic to discover this message from the past and for the future from Lawrence Weiner, to guide new and younger artists to the stars outside.
