Moral Kombat: C Spencer Yeh vs. G Lucas Crane
By G Lucas Crane, C Spencer Yeh
On view on February 16, 2011

Violin soloist, drone composer, and improvisationalist C Spencer Yeh takes on G Lucas Crane in the most ethically fraught Moral Kombat to date. You can listen to the live recording of this performance click at ARTonAIR.org.

Known for his ability to incorporate the ephemeral and physical elements surrounding a work into his sound compositions, Yeh's performances are both sensual and expressive. He has performed and collaborated with an impressive list of artists and bands including The New Humans with Vito Acconci, Tony Conrad, Evan Parker, Thurston Moore, Paul Flaherty and Chris Corsano.

Moral Kombat is curated by AIR's former Artist in Residence G Lucas Crane and organized by AIR's Performance and Installation Curator Joe Ahearn, and is free and open to the public.

Moral Kombatis made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, celebrating 50 years of building strong, creative communities in New York State's 62 counties, and support from the Jerome Foundation that seeks to foster a dynamic and evolving culture by supporting the creation, development, and production of new works by emerging artists.
