2012 resident at the Clocktower Gallery Haroon Mirza broadcasts a performance featuring a new work created during his residency at the Clocktower Gallery (NYC) as part of The Island Studio Sessions. As in other projects, Mirza has assembled an eclectic inventory of objects including found furniture, kinetic circuits, electrical gadgets, and optical components. Listeners heard a live performance for the rhythmically driven abstract sounds created by this sculptural configuration.
The residency was part of The Island Studio Sessions, an artist production project made possible by a collaboration between The Island (Andrew Bonacina and Victoria Brooks, curators, www.theislandarts.org) and the Clocktower Gallery (Alanna Heiss, curator).
