The Clocktower Gallery’s diverse performance schedule ranges from emerging pop-inspired bands and performers such as the So So Glos and Dan Friel of Parts & Labor, to established audio artists and experimental composers including Sabisha Friedberg, G Lucas Crane, and Z’EV, from opera to performance art, from fashion to new media.
Listeners and visitors hear a live performance for the rhythmically driven abstract sounds created by Mirza's sculptural configuration of found objects, kinetic circuits, electrical gadgets, and optical components.
Taraka Larson (of Prince Rama) presents The Now Age, examining contemporary conceptions of time in the context of music and its relationship to symbology, particularly in the transference from metaphor to kitsch.
RADIO ONLY: Thiago Carrapatoso hosted a romantic night of Brazilian jazz and regional cuisine. Known as Chorinho, this musical form is ripe with improvisation and audience participation.
