Founded in 1972 by Alanna Heiss, the Clocktower Gallery is a historic alternative art space known for presenting seminal works in all media by some of the most important artists of our time. Current programming honors the Clocktower’s 40-year history and the spirit of the alternative spaces movement by focusing on experimental, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational projects in the visual and audio arts, music, performance, and radio.
Oyama Enrico Isamu Letter is a Japanese/Italian artist who works with the recurring motif of the "Quick Turn Structure", has a strong allegiance to the graffiti tradition, mural painting, interacting with architecture, and intermedia.
Mikkel Hess is a Danish songwriter and composer, who will develop new music, rehearse his ensemble Hess Is More, record demos, and produce a radio series while working in our recording studio at the Clocktower.
